Are you a recent graduate with a passion for all things Marketing and Communications? Are you completing the final year of your degree and hoping to find the ideal job to launch your Marketing career?

The Aster Group has an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or current undergraduate in Marketing, Communications or Journalism to join and support the work of our marketing team on a Full-Time basis by assisting in the day to day marketing function.

The Aster Group is an Illawarra hospitality group that comprises of Wests Illawarra and Port Kembla Golf Club. Our vision is to provide lifestyle options and facilities that enhance and benefit our community.

This entry level role will ideally suit a passionate and dedicated individual who wants to grow their keen interest in social and digital marketing in a fun and dynamic environment. This role will suit a hands-on self-starter who loves solving problems and delivering excellence to both internal and external customers.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with internal and external communications;
  • Assist the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns and other marketing materials across different media;
  • Assisting in content creation and posts on social media platforms;
  • Manage social media accounts;
  • Assisting with the management of our Group Membership;
  • Support the marketing team by providing data, market trends, forecasts, relaying customer services requests;
  • Various ad hoc responsibilities and general admin duties.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent, or currently in final year of study;
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage their own workload and meet deadlines;
  • Exceptional organisational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in retail or hospitality (desirable);
  • Previous marketing experience (desirable);
  • The ability to recommend and implement marketing initiatives;
  • A positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach to their work;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to create a fantastic experience for all of our members and guests.
